4, 3, 2, 1 Trailer Dconstruction

A lot of dodgy behavior is show via close ups in this trailer. By showing you this in a close up shot it means you see the intricate details of the story easily.

As you can see in this shot it identifies what the film is about.
Towards the begging of the trailer a montage of fast paced images are shown.  These are show so quickly that you barely see any images. Although while taking screen shots i realized that a lot of the pictures quite interesting to the
story. For example this picture on the right shows a woman looking at one of the diamonds. She is wearing a red coat which could connote danger in the film. Due to the speed we see the shots it shows the audience that although they may include some aspects of the story they are not the key to the film and so aren't the focus of the trailer.

Violence is a predominant part of this trailer as you can see in these two pictures two of the characters are holding guns. The fact that in the picture to the left there is a female holding a gun subvert the conventions of an urban film. It is usually the males that handle the guns and create the violence while the girls are portrayed as the damsels in distress.  As you can see the two characters holding the guns have almost all of their body covered in black clothing linking them as the violent characters. The difference between theses two shots is that the girls are shown in a darker setting and the male in a light one. This shows that maybe the girls are holding the gun for the wrong reasons like greed and selfishness and the male is holding the gun to protect himself or is doing it to help out his family.

Violence is also shown here but in a different way. Here the same girl that was using the gun is seen flinging a man across the room and then stamping on his face. In these shots the girl is show in a light setting subverting the idea that she is doing this for selfish reasons.
Also by using a woman fighting a man it subverts another convention of gender roles because the males are usually the ones fighting. By putting the man in black it shows that he is the bad guy making the girl seem more on the 'good side' of things in this scenario.
The trailer ends with another montage of fast cutting shots. This time the shots do not come up as fast as the ones at the begging telling the audience these are more important. By letting the clips be shown for slightly longer means the audience get just enough information to want to know more and see the film to find out what happens.

The very last shot is of this car coming through the window of a shop that appears frequently throughout the trailer telling the audience it is a main feature and setting of the film. In this shot there is another black clothed person carrying on with 'good cop, bad cop' personas throughout the trailer in different shots. We can also see that the car takes up most of the shot forcing the two characters to be on separate sides of the shot showing the audience that they have no kind of relationship at all.
