- Hoodies are an article of clothing associated with the characters normally within urban dramas as the social groups portrayed such as 'chavs' etc. use this as their sense of fashion. Hoodies also serve other purposes like its way of concealing your image, urban dramas generally try to convey crime and various crime scenes, therefore in their attempts to keep their identity hidden in things such as crimes and fights, hoodies will be used in these scenes. This is effective as it is accurate to society today.
Stylish Trainers
- In urban dramas they try to associate certain trends that people have in urban areas with the characters within the film, stylish trainers are a must have in urban society e.g. air forces as they convey things such as the money a person may have for example. Finally things like the stylish trainers give off a good fashion statement which would be a good thing within any social group.
Baggy Jeans
- Baggy jeans are a must in urban dramas, the style known as 'sagging' is what is highly associated with baggy jeans and generally speaking when people wear baggy jeans they are mainly associated with criminal activity.
- Baggy jeans make a large statement due to the fashion of today, skinny jeans are the ones in fashion which many ordinary teenagers wear today so when you see baggy jeans you generally associate them with people who are of a very urban background, which may lead to them being affiliated with criminal activity of people associated with such activity.
