Planning Montage Shots - Seyi

Planning montage shots

  • Tube Shot - The shot within a tube station or an overground station was inspired by a shot within adulthood, this shot will show a train driving away or up to a station at speed, this shot will be effective due to the fact that TFL trains are exclusive to London so by doing shots such as these we can easily associate our urban drama as a production set in London

  • Smoking - A shot of people smoking, to make it as effective as possible the people will be in a dark room and you can see them lighting up followed with the smoke leaving their mouths.

  • Drugs - To mimic cocaine I wanted to use a white powder such as flower, this was inspired by the Top Boy trailer, by mimicking drugs; especially class A drugs such as cocaine you see the intensity of the danger the people within the film are in.

  • Knives - The knife shot will use a 180 degree rule in a very intelligent way, this shot will move around the protagonist and an enemy with either a knife or another weapon pointed at each other, the camera will then move around them using either a smooth motion or jump cuts moving between each position.

  • Punch camera - The protagonist is shown punching the camera, the punch will be shown extremely close to the camera to make out as if the protagonist is attacking someone.
