Script for Voice over - Various Ideas

Voice Over Script Ideas
  • In our voice over we decided to refrain from using diagetic speech as in many past examples, using speech gives it a tacky feel to it, due to the fact that voice overs keep the sound professional and there is no disturbance from background noise from things such as cars or the surroundings. In the voice over though we needed a small script for it, due to the length of the trailer, so the speech in the voice over must be around 1 or 2 sentences long maximum, it must also reflect the trailer perfectly and this is where the difficulty lies.
  • The examples and it's analysis will be below.

  • - "Dad passed away, Mum lost her job, I just gotta get money any way I can, no matter what"
  • - "As the only Man left in the house, it's up to me to protect my family, but what if your only option can get you killed?"
  • - "A man is defined by the choices he makes right? I chose to sell drugs to provide for my family, now tell me how that defines me"
  • - "Sometimes when you're stuck between a rock and a hard place, the streets can give you the only answer"
  • - "Money is money, if it's needed then you gotta go get it, any way possible"

  • These statements are all short in length however some are more relevant to the story line of the trailer than others, as some portray more of the story and would make it easier for the viewers to understand it.
