Akeldama
Suitability for genre
Akeldama is very suitable for the genre which is an action film, The typography is a very bold yet scratched text which suits the action genre perfectly. The text is kept short and sweet which simplifies the plot, keeping the focus on the action that shall be shown within the film.
Suitability for target audience
As the target audience is a general audience ranging from 12 to adults it is very suitable as it doesnt do anything which puts it in a specific age gap, the only thing that would make the appeal to a younger audience is the use of a young cast and how the images scroll across the screen showing young actor after another, however, overall it suits the broad target audience.
Effective/professional/appriopriate choice of image
The images used and very high quality with amazing editing, this is because all the pictures are evidently taken using a professional high quality camera and have the use of a sepia type affect, all the images are different with each of the different members of the cast telling a different story, you have the female with blonde hair hiding behind a wall looking out and then you have the male with the long hair

Title of film clear and professionally embedded into website
The title of the film is professional and is a good font which suits the genre of the film, the typography also aids the moving images as you can see the images moving behind the text.
Suitability of size/font/colour of links
The font and colour of the links looks modern and suits the website, however the positioning is bad, due to the fact that you have to scroll on this website the links shouldnt be at the bottom as you only know where the links are if you scroll down, if they were at the top it would be better because as soon as you enter the website you see the links to other sides of the website
Use of critics reviews
The use of critic reviews adds to the websites professionalism, as it has a simple star rating system and comments if needed, just like an film today
Inclusion of social networking/interative opportunities
It has links to twitter, google + and facebook
The Resolution
Suitability for genre
The website isnt really suitable for its genre due to the fact that the trailer hints at it being a horror film yet because of the plain nature of the website, therefore the website doesnt show anything sinister that indicates death of suffering so you cannot really get a feel for the film from its website.
Suitability for target audience
The target audience is similar to akeldama, just in this case it sways more towards horror fans, once again due to the plan nature of the website, it doesnt really suit a specific type of audience.
Effective/professional/appriopriate choice of image
The background image is a screen with no signal as if its a tv, it isnt effective nor very appropriate, however it is slightly professional, but as it doesn't correlate with the film and the genre

The title of the film is clear and complements the background image well
Suitability of size/font/colour of links
The links are the best section of the website, as they are clear and show you exactly where you are going, even the links to the social notworks are clear and in 3D which makes the website look more professional

Patient 13
Suitability for genre
The background image, the links, the colour scheme and the tagline all make this website suitable not only for the genre but for the target audience as well, it captures horror fans as well as being a very horror influenced website.
Teaser trailer embedded and starts automatically?
The teaser trailer starts as soon as you enter the website and it is embedded.
Title of film clear and professionally embedded into website
The red of the title makes the title stand out from the background and also distingueshes it as the title rather than another link for example
Suitability of size/font/colour of links
The typography of the links are perfect for the website as the font is a creepy type of font, and the colours used are black and red, the colour values that black and red connote are perfect for the conventions of horror
Use of critics reviews
There are no critic reviews present on the website, this was a lazy move as there is enough empty space on the website to have made this
Inclusion of social networking/interative opportunities
There are clear links to websites such as facebook, twitter and even blogger
Overall colour scheme
The colour scheme is very dark with a dark red colour on some of the text, the darkness of the website helps us understand what type of film it will be as it indicated a very sinister film with things such a blood and dark rooms in the film
User-friendly
The site is extremely user friendly, all links are clearly displayed and you dont even need to scroll when the website is in full screen, meaning everything needed is on display
