Tagline Placement
- The tagline in the Kidulthood lies just above the title, I believe this is a very good place to put your tagline due to the fact that the tagline acts as a sub-dominant within the film poster, as first of all the thing that attracts you after the picture is the title, and as the tagline sits just over the title you immediately look at it after, then as a result you read the tagline and the title as a sentence.
- In Shank the tagline is placed at the top of the title, I dont really like this placement of the tagline due to the fact that there are so many things in between the title and the tagline, so just for you to see the tagline you need to turn your eyes away from the title and the main picture, and the background picture, only then does the eye notice the tagline at the top, and due to the fact that the tagline is small, in a subtle font and in white, it doesn't really stand out. The only circumstance that I would place the tagline at the top is if the tagline typography stands out.
- SKET uses the same method within its tagline placement like Kidulthood, it uses the method of placing the tagline next to the title but unlike Kidulthood, the tagline and the title don't create a sentence. However, this allows the tagline to be noticed quicker due to the standout nature of the title, the pink typography of the title means that the tagline gets spotted much quicker, and the tagline is also placed underneath the group of girls, this is effective as it says "welcome to the sisterhood" as this is below a group of girls you see how the tagline relates to the poster.
