Typography Creation - Bold

After several typography creations, I wanted an option for a bolder typography, I thought this bolder typography would look good on an exciting and busy background, therefore I found this photo suitable. This way the rest of the poster can be a little bit more simplistic in order to keep the focus on photos and the title of the film.

I set out to find a really bold font, my first thoughts would be that the well known font 'Impact' would be most effective. However when it came to making it bigger on a page, the letters were not as I expected them to be. I then found a less bold font - Arial bold - I found that this was more pleasing to the eye with regards to the space between the letters.

I then free transformed my text which allowed me to make the typography wide and larger, this was much more effective with my second choice of font as it allowed me to create the width and height easier, and therefore creating the bold idea that I had for our text.

I then played about with the position of the text against the background. The way that the colours fall behind this text looked good, however I thought it doesn't look as 'grimey' as it should.

Therefore as I moved the picture behind a bit more, I found that the less colours, and the image of the wall created a much more 'grimey' feel.

My final bold typography.
