Test Pictures
- This photo we believed to be effective as Ella and James do not have monumental roles within the trailer, therefore the smoke that is coming from their mouths can act as masks which cover their faces and conceal their identities to an extent which we believe in a poster would put more focus on the protagonist and allow him to be identifies as the main person within the trailer
- We tried to use a by standers car lights to get an effective shot from behind because the car had xenon lights, so we tried to utilise this effect, we did two shots, one with the flash on and one without, unfortunately neither of these were effective due to the lighting in the area at the time, because it was too dark it was hard to get an effective photo, even though we needed darkness to utilise the xenon lights to their maximum ability, the darkness did the actual photo no justice. So with the flash on or the flash off the photos weren't very good
- We used another smoking shot using James and Ella, in comparison to the other picture using them I believe that the other one is better as in this picture the background isn't as effective as before, in the other picture you can comment on the framing tightening up around Ella and James but in this one there is no specific attributes to the background which makes the picture appear loose and with no composition in it, unless we were going to change the background this wouldn't be effective.
- A personal favourite of ours was this close up shot of me as the protagonist, I believe this was effective as I attempted to portray a sinister face, not someone too happy or smiley, and the flash does the picture justice as it illuminates my face completely, if this picture was to be used as a combination with the first photo I think that it could be extremely effective due to the character proxemics for one, In this picture I am close to the camera where as in the shot with Ella and James they are far, making me seem more significant to the viewers of the poster than James and Ella.
