Evaluation of Filming Day

On Monday 21st October we all set out with the intention to film everything that was remaining for our trailer sequence.

With our trailer being an Urban Drama, we found that the transition of light to dark during sunset was best to create a dark, mysterious and grimy feel for the trailer. We went to our location and knew that when we were filming, everything had to be done quickly and concisely, as the transition time was short.

We managed to get a variety of shots around the location including Shay running towards the camera, and him walking round the location, to show that he has control in this location. We filmed our 'chavvy' girl character blowing smoke into the camera.

We also managed to film a 'drug deal' between our characters Shay and James, it took time to get this effectively, we chose a dark alley way, and set up our characters and Mise en Scene so that it looked very realistic.

We were also able to film in this dark alleyway with bright lights shining down, so therefore we could see our characters and what they were doing, this combined with the darkness outside the alley created a mysterious and grimy feel to the shots that were taken.

The most effective shot that we found combined lighting from a car's headlights, and our main protagonist. We also used this time to take photos for our poster.
