Final Tagline

Finalising the Tagline

  • One man, stuck in this urban jungle
The concept of an urban jungle is something that we have really been trying to accomplish during the duration of the creation of the trailer, so I believed that using the words within the tagline would give the viewers an idea of what we are trying to present within the trailer. Also, the concept of being 'stuck' within this urban jungle can give the viewers a sense that our protagonist is trapped within his current situation and his actions only drive him deeper into this prison.
  • The ends can give you the only answer
This tagline was one of the favourites that I would like to have used due to the fact that it ties into the voiceover that we are using within our trailer, and people could be able to create a link with the tagline we use in our website and poster and the trailer, making it all seem like its truly connected. So as a promotional package at a whole it would seem as if all components have been planned to fit together.

  • How far will you go to protect your family?
As family was an important factor within the storyline of our trailer, I needed an example of a tagline with the use of family as it is the motivation for the protagonist to do what he is about to do. The issue with the family one is that you do not get a sinister feel from this tagline and due to the fact that our trailer involved drugs and violence you need an indicator that those things will actually go on within our trailer
  • Drugs can hold the answer for some
As drugs is a big factor within the trailer as that is how the protagonist is acquiring the money to support his family it is a significant thing and therefore deserves a place within the tagline, however, this tagline is far too vague and will therefore not give the viewer a sense of entrapment or desperation so isn't very suitable as a tagline

Evaluation
My favourite tagline out of them all was "the ends can give you the only answer" as it ties in perfectly with our trailer, and due to the fact it is in the voiceover it is already a part of our trailer, also, it gives the sense of entrapment I was looking for as we automatically know that this is the only place the protagonist can turn to and due to the fact that the "ends" is a negative view of urban London, we see what the "ends" can provide for the protagonist which are all negative things.
