Our choice of music

Our final song choice;

We have chosen this song because it is appropriate for our film genre and it matches the plot we have thought up.
The song starts with a classic tune which shortly transitions into a more hip hop/urban track added introduced to it. A bass beat is added in the background which would match the fast pace action of our trailer with every beat showing a new shot. This would help to build tension nearer the end of the trailer - a popular convention of trailers in general. We got this as inspiration from the teaser trailer of 4, 3, 2, 1 as we thought it was very effective in building tension and drawing in the audience.

The music video also inspired us with concerns to our trailer. The chase scene in the video is filmed cleverly by not showing us who the two gang members are running away from - or why for that matter. This adds tension and suspense to the scenes, helping to draw you in and question what is going on. We thought this would be beneficial for us to use as it would be fairly easy, yet incredibly effective to film and would also help us create our main goal of creating suspense and making the audience want to watch the film to find out what the chase is all about. Chase scenes are also great because you only need a few shots of which you can speed up in order to make it look effective. If we are able to find a desolate area to film in, the scene could look professional.
